Records Information Management
The Office of Legal Affairs serves as the Custodian of Records for the University. In this capacity, the Office promotes efficient administration and management of state government records in compliance with federal and state regulations.
Records Information Management (RIM) Program
The RIM Program, required by the Georgia Records Act O.C.G.A § 50‐18‐90 through § 50‐18‐103 is the legal authority designated by the University and the State of Georgia to ensure the legitimacy of the University record-keeping systems.
Records Information Management (RIM) is the systematic control of all records, regardless of media, from creation or receipt of the record to the perpetual storage or destruction of the record. RIM services include the establishment of University policy, procedures, and standards of the Program designed to assist the University in meeting its record-keeping responsibilities.
