Overview
The University of West Georgia's Mobile Wellness Unit is a dynamic outreach initiative designed to promote health and wellness while eliminating transportation, affordability, and access barriers—key social determinants of health—in communities across Georgia. By bringing essential health services directly to underserved populations, the unit aims to bridge gaps in healthcare access and foster a culture of wellness throughout the region.
The Mobile Wellness Unit is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and offers a diverse range of health and wellness programs both on and off campus. These programs provide experiential learning opportunities for students and include biometric screenings, vaccinations, and additional testing services, as well as onsite health clinics, nutrition demonstrations, and comprehensive health and wellness initiatives.
