Su Jara-Pazmino, Ph.D.

Su Jara-Pazmino earned her Bachelor in Arts degree from the University of Michigan (2002) where she was a student-athlete in the women’s basketball team (1998-2002). She earned her master degree in Sport and Entertainment Management (2015) at the University of South Carolina and she is currently working on her doctorate program in Sport and Entertainment Management at the same institution.

Su Jara-Pazmino is originally from Ecuador where she worked as an Athletic Director and basketball coach at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito (2006-2013). Currently she is entering her first year at the University of West Georgia, in the Sport Management, Wellness, & Physical Education Department. Her research interests focus on the socialization process of student-athletes with a different culture and the socialization tactics use to aid the adjustment of the student-athletes.
