Melissa Brillhart, MA, RD, LD

Melissa is a seasoned registered dietitian and certified health coach with a successful wellness industry history. Her professional interests include food insecurity, disease prevention, health promotion, integrative wellness, and high-impact practices in higher education. 

Melissa earned her master's degree in Health Promotion from the University of Alabama. 

She began her career at UWG in an adjunct faculty role in the fall semester of 2016 and started as a full-time faculty member fall semester of 2020. Melissa loves the energy and endless possibilities of higher education and enjoys enriching the lives of students, faculty, and staff through wellness initiatives and education.

Melissa is the Health and Community Wellness Dietetics professional track coordinator and oversees the minor in Nutrition Promotion and Education. Melissa is also the faculty advisor for the Wolves Don't Waste student organization and the Nutrition Ambassadors.
