Melissa Hullender, M.S.

15 years in the University of West Georgia Biology Department

As Senior Lecturer my teaching efforts on core courses for both science and non-science majors.  Most of my course have  large class sizes (60-90 students).  My focus is incorporating new teaching methods and high impact practices to these large courses to decrease DWF rates while still maintaining high course content standards.

I have multiple community volunteer activities but I'm most passionate about the Carroll County Humane Society and I often try to involve student's in dog food collections and adoption events to aid the animal in our community.
