Paul Rutledge, Ph.D.

Paul Rutledge is Professor of Political Science in the Department of Civic Engagement and Public Service.  He earned his Ph.D. from West Virginia University in 2009.  He teaches courses on American Politics, the American Presidency, and Public Policy and Administration.  His research interests focus on the American presidency and agenda setting. He recently published an edited volume entitled The Unorthodox Presidency of Donald J. Trump (University of Kansas Press, 2021) with Chapman Rackaway.  His research has also appeared in Political Research Quarterly, Policy Studies Journal, American Review of Public Administration, Congress and the Presidency, and Social Science Quarterly.
