Jeffrey Reber, Ph.D.

Jeffrey S. Reber, Ph.D., LPC, is professor of psychology at the University of West Georgia, a licensed professional counselor in the state of Georgia, and the founder of Relational Counseling and Consulting Services (RCCS).  He is a leader in the field of relational psychology, which treats relationships as fundamental to our being, our knowing, and our morality.  Dr. Reber has published more more than two dozen articles, thirteen book chapters, and three books, which are informed by this relational psychological perspective and he has given dozens of presentations on relational psychology across the continent. He has successfully implemented his unique approach to relationships in the classroom, in organizational administration and leadership, and in his psychotherapy practice.  Dr. Reber is editor-in-chief of the journal, Issues in Religion and Psychotherapy, and he sits on the editorial boards of four academic peer-review publication outlets.  In 2014, he served as President of the Society for Theoretical and Philosophical Psychology (Division 24 of the APA).  Dr. Reber’s books specialize in treating growing societal issues and concerns, like narcissism and perfectionism, from a relational perspective that interfaces psychology, philosophy, and theology.
