Endpoint Security
Endpoint Security is responsible for securing endpoints across campus and keeping devices such as laptops, desktops, and mobile devices safe from malicious outside attacks. Our goal is to stay up-to-date on cybersecurity standards on a daily basis and to work with faculty and staff to keep them knowledgeable so their data will be safe and protected from cyberthreats and any disruptions that could be detrimental to the entire campus.
In order to keep all devices up to security standards and adhere to USG policies, UWG uses the asset management tool, Ivanti as its software infrastructure. The following security tools are integrated within Ivanti:
- Bitdefender
- Patching Vulnerabilities
- OS Provisioning
- Environmental Manager and Application Control
- Virtual Labs
The Endpoint Security team also manages mandatory cybersecurity training to all faculty and staff as part of USG policy to help keep UWG employees knowledgeable and able to keep sensitive data protected.
