About UWG Douglasville
UWG Douglasville provides affordable college access for Douglas County students and residents, a strategic imperative of the University System of Georgia and the University of West Georgia.
Nestled in the heart of downtown Douglasville, UWG Douglasville puts college in real reach for Douglas County students and residents. UWG Douglasville offers dual enrollment courses, as well as affordable Nexus, bachelor’s, and graduate programs that align with regional and professional workforce needs.
Dual enrollment students can jumpstart their college degree by completing up to 30 credit hours in close proximity to their high school, tuition free! That’s the equivalent of starting college as a sophomore with the added bonus of saving one year of tuition cost and knowing the rigor to expect the first day of class! Students can choose from nearly 20 core and CTAE options, and we’ve even teamed up with local high schools to offer flexible scheduling so courses are offered during times that are compatible with high school bell schedules.
Transfer students, professionals, and adult learners can also advance their career in one of our signature programs. They can choose from business administration, including management and marketing; computing, including coding/application development and cyber security; criminology; public relations; computer science endorsement; or online teaching endorsement. So, whether looking to level up as a full-time or part-time student, UWG Douglasville is conveniently located and offers options that fit busy schedules.
At UWG Douglasville, students experience the same transformational learning as students on our UWG Carrollton main campus. They have identical access to world-class faculty; 19:1 student-to-faculty ratio; academic support, and advanced technology to set them up for success. It’s just a shorter drive!
