Coliseum Policies A-Z
The Coliseum aspires to create a guest friendly atmosphere and a one-of-a-kind experience to every patron. Below are a list of policies put in place to assist in our pursuit of guest satisfaction. Thank you for your compliance!
Animals or pets of any kind are prohibited in The Coliseum with the exception of trained service animals and service animals in training for guests with disabilities. Service animals are welcome inside the venue, but must remain on a leash or in a harness at all times.

The Coliseum has a total of 14 handicapped parking spaces in the South parking lot adjacent to the facility. Three of these spaces are van accessible. Use of these spaces requires a permit and the named permit holder should be in the vehicle. If these requirements are not met, parking personnel will re-direct the vehicle to other on-campus parking lots. These spaces are available on a first come, first served basis and will not be reserved.
The Coliseum offers ADA compliant seating in the following sections on the concourse level:
Sections 101,102, 103, 104, 106, 107, 108, 115, 116, 117
In addition, The Coliseum has a very limited number of spots available for on-court wheelchair placement during certain events. Please consult with a member of The Coliseum's event staff for more information and assistance.
For some events at The Coliseum, certain ADA seating sections may be closed due to event production requirements (e.g., to accommodate filming and broadcast equipment). To inquire about a specific event, please call The Coliseum Business Office.
The Coliseum’s primary seating arrangement includes four retractable bleacher sections arranged in a square configuration around the court area. Most events will utilize one or more bleacher sections. In addition, for some events, on-the-floor seating is utilized.
For those guests who are hearing impaired, The Coliseum has a limited number of Assistive Listening Devices it can provide at no charge. Please contact a member of The Coliseum staff to obtain one of these devices. A driver’s license will be required to check out one of these devices.
At this time, an ATM machine is not available in The Coliseum; however, an ATM is located in the parking lot of Tyus Hall less than a mile from The Coliseum.
Cameras are permitted for UWG athletic events; however, photographers should at no time block aisles or other guests' view of the event. Photographers wishing access to the arena floor should contact the UWG Sports Information office at (678) 839-6542 or (678) 839-6544 to obtain the proper credentials.
Photographic policies for non-UWG athletic events will vary. Please contact either The Coliseum Business Office or the respective event promoters’ customer service line for the policy for the particular event of interest. Policies are subject to change without notice.
The Coliseum has two permanent concession stand areas operated by Dine West. These are located on the concourse level between Sections 104 and 105 and Sections 113 and 114 respectively.
For most events, doors will open no earlier or later than one (1) hour prior to the event start time.
Elevator
An elevator to the arena floor area is located in the Southwest corner of The Coliseum next to the Ticket Office. Use of this elevator is regulated during events and might not be available for general public use.
Entrances and Exits
The primary entrance to The Coliseum is located on the concourse level of the South side of the facility next to the Ticket Office. Multiple exit doors are located throughout the concourse level and can be used as egress routes.

Should you need assistance during your visit to The Coliseum, please contact a member of The Coliseum event staff or uniformed officer.
Guest Concerns and Conduct
Coliseum staff members are committed to providing proactive and immediate responses to issues affecting our guests. Should a concern arise during an event, please inform a member of The Coliseum event staff to make us aware of your concern and to have your concern addressed.
In order to maintain a safe and enjoyable atmosphere, The Coliseum asks that guests be courteous to those around them and abide by Coliseum policies. Guests who use offensive or abusive language, behave in an unruly manner, or appear to be intoxicated are subject to removal and prosecution.
Lost and Found
For concerns related to lost or found items, please inform a member of The Coliseum event staff.
Lost Parents and Children
Please inform a member of The Coliseum event staff or uniformed officer for assistance.
Merchandise
The University of West Georgia Bookstore operates a retail outlet located in the Northwest corner between Sections 104 and 105 during many UWG athletic events and commencements. Please contact the Bookstore for information related to the operation schedule and merchandise availability at The Coliseum. The Bookstore phone number is (678) 839-6523.
Merchandise sales for non-UWG events are the responsibility of the respective promoters. Please contact the promoters’ customer service line for more information
Parking and Transportation
Parking at The Coliseum is very limited. Please consult the Parking Information link on The Coliseum’s homepage for more information. In addition, some on-campus lots may be designated official “Event Parking” lots during certain events, thus requiring a fee to park.
Some Coliseum events will have dedicated UWG bus/van shuttle service to transport guests between various parking lots/buildings and The Coliseum. Please contact The Coliseum Administration for information about shuttle services.
- Alcohol: Possession and consumption of alcohol in The Coliseum is prohibited.
- Animals: Animals are not permitted in The Coliseum unless they are service animals assisting a disabled guest.
- Bags and Coolers: Duffels, other large bags and coolers are not permitted in The Coliseum. If you arrive with such items you will be requested to return those items to your vehicle. If accommodations need to be made for medical reasons, please contact The Coliseum Business Office at least 24 hours in advance of your arrival to The Coliseum. All bags and purses brought into The Coliseum may be subject to a search by Coliseum security or crowd control personnel.
- Firearms and Weapons: No firearms or weapons of any kind are permitted in The Coliseum.
- Handouts: The distribution of promotional items, handbills, flyers, pamphlets, printed materials, as well as the solicitation of signatures is not permitted on The Coliseum’s premises without the express written consent of the University of West Georgia.
- Large Signs/Banners - Large signs or banners may not be displayed on The Coliseum premises unless approved by Coliseum Administration.
For ticketed events, guests will not be allowed to exit The Coliseum and re-enter on the same ticket. A new ticket will be required
Restrooms and Baby Changing Stations
The Coliseum has male and female restrooms located on all four corners of the facility. All restrooms are accessible for physically disabled guests. The Coliseum does not have family restroom facilities.
Baby changing tables are located in every restroom on the Concourse Level.
Tickets
Questions regarding tickets should be directed to the UWG Athletics Department for UWG Athletics events.
For ticketing for all other events, please contact The Coliseum Administration for more information. The Coliseum works closely with The Townsend Center for Performing Arts to provide quality ticketing services for events. Please check the Event Page to find out specific information about ticketing for individual events.
Water Fountains
Water fountains are located on the concourse level on all four corners of the facility near the restrooms.
