student/Mentee FAQs
Register using our online form.
Once you have submitted your registration form, Career Services will review your form and pair you with a mentor based on similar criteria.
Mentors and mentees are typically paired together for one semester. You are welcome to participate in the program beyond one semester if you’d like.
We encourage mentees and mentors to connect on a regular basis (e.g., in-person or once-a-month phone call, zoom meeting or email conversation). However, the frequency and form of communication are things you both determine depending on availability.
Events and program attendance are not required. However, we do encourage you to attend program events, both in person and virtual, to build a strong connection with your mentor.
Each mentee will be paired with one mentor.
If after multiple attempts to reach your mentor and receiving no response, please contact Career Services at careers@westga.edu.
Yes, you may continue to communicate with your mentor if both parties are willing and able.

No, the benefit of technology allows a mentor relationship to be established via email, phone, and virtual meetings.

As a mentor, you have the option to be paired with up to two mentees at one time. If you would like to mentor additional students, reach out to Career Services at careers@westga.edu.
