Current USG Peer and Aspirant Institutions
The University System of Georgia (USG) Research and Policy Analysis (RPA), in cooperation with the National Center for Higher Education Management Systems (NCHEMS), devised the methodology and established parameters for clustering IPEDS data for the selection of comparator Peer Institutions for all USG institutions. As a result of this process, UWG identified fifteen (15) peer institutions, as required, and five (5) aspirant institutions, as requested by previous UWG President Kyle Marrero. The initial list of institutions was further refined by the UWG Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Team. The selections were reviewed and approved by then UWG President Kyle Marrero, Research and Policy Analysis at the University System of Georgia (USG) Office, and subsequently approved by the USG Board of Regents in May 2017. An updated list of UWG peer and aspirant institutions appear in alphabetical order below. The institutions are used to benchmark select Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as the University works to achieve the goals set forth in its strategic plan 2014-2020.
