Purpose

To recommend policy and procedures concerning advising, undergraduate admissions, retention, progression and graduation, registration, University calendar, class scheduling, final examination scheduling, testing, advanced placement and other programs regarding dual enrolled students, commencement, and catalog-- including catalog content; to consider undergraduate student petitions for exceptions to academic policy, including graduation requirements, as authorized by the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs; and to advise with respect to Admissions, Enrollment Management, Learning Support, Testing, Registrar, Registration and Records.  It is recommended that members of this committee also serve as Senate representatives on non-Senate university committees designated for decision making regarding the above items. The chair of the Academic Policies Committee will represent the Senate on the university calendar committee.
