The Coliseum
The Coliseum has a rich variety of event spaces which can accommodate almost any event! The Arena is an extremely versatile event space located on the lower level of The Coliseum. Events such as UWG Basketball and Volleyball, High School Athletic competitions, concerts, lectures, Physical Education classes, and orientations have all taken part in this huge event space.
Campus Center
UREC oversees the variety of spaces available for reservation in the Campus Center. This includes a ballroom that has more than 7,000 sq feet available and can be broken down into multiple rooms, meeting spaces, conference rooms, and outdoor patio access.
Lecture Halls and Classrooms
UWG has approximately 10 lecture halls and over 100 classrooms.
Outdoor and Other Event Spaces
Looking for rental space to host your event? Venue spaces include, meeting rooms, gyms, practice fields and tracks for athletic events, meadows, and special event facilities for a company luncheon, family reunions, weddings, birthday parties, game day tailgating and grilling pits.
Events are subject to university policies & procedures. Fees will apply to specific event types including additional security deposit and possible cleaning fees.
The Townsend Center
The Townsend Center for the Performing Arts contains a 459-seat Main Stage theatre , with proscenium stage and orchestra pit, and a Black Box theatre which seats up to 170 for experimental theatre, chamber music, receptions, and other small-scale events. The facility includes offices, lobby with grand piano and digital monitors, Box Office, two sets of dressing rooms , a rehearsal room, green room, scene shop, loading dock and outdoor patio space. Performance instruments include two Bosendorfer Imperial Grand Pianos, one Kawai Grand Piano and one Yamaha U3 upright piano. Lighting, sound, staging, rigging, and soft goods equipment is extensive, well maintained, and up-to-date. The Orchestra Lift is fully functional, featuring an industrial-grade application from Serapid Technologies.
The TCPA is located on the campus of the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia. The TCPA was officially opened in April of 1989 as the Performing Arts Center.
In addition to facility rental and event production services, the Townsend Center also provides professionally managed Ticketing Services including: consulting for pricing and house scaling, sophisticated ticketing software, advanced admissions technology, customer service, order fulfillment, and patron communications. Payment processing includes cash, check and major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Based on the Salesforce Foundation platform, the Townsend Center operates the ticketing and donor software, PatronManager.
