GURC
Georgia Undergraduate Research Conference
The Georgia Undergraduate Research Conference (GURC) is a platform for outstanding undergraduate scholars and faculty mentors (if applicable) to share results based on outstanding research. GURC holds an annual conference each year for undergraduate scholars from all disciplines and from institutions throughout the Southeast. This year Columbus State University will host the annual conference that provides its members access to a network of Honors expertise and gives Honors students opportunities to present research at a national forum.

- Submissions: Proposals acceptance dates TBA for oral and poster presentations as well as performing arts (dance, music, drama) and visual arts (sculpture, painting, photography).
- Eligibility: UWG Honors students or any UWG student with at least a 3.2 GPA in ANY discipline
NCHC
National Collegiate Honors Council Conference
The National College Honors Council (NCHC) is the professional association of undergraduate Honors programs and colleges and their deans, directors, faculty, staff, and students. Each Fall NCHC hosts an annual conference that provides its members access to a network of Honors expertise and gives Honors students opportunities to present research at a national forum.

GCHC
Georgia Collegiate Honors Council Conference
The Georgia Collegiate Honors Council (GCHC) is an organization formed for the promotion and advancement of honors education in institutions of higher learning in the state of Georgia. Each year, GCHC hosts its annual meeting at a selected college or university in Georgia, giving Honors students another opportunity to share their research with others while also allowing them to meet and interact with other Honors students.

NCUR
National Conference on Undergraduate Research
The National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) is dedicated to promoting undergraduate scholarships and creative activity in all fields on study by sponsoring an annual Spring conference for students.

Model UN at SRMUN
UWG participates in the Southern Regional Model United Nations (SRMUN), competing at SRMUN conferences each year. Model UN is an intercollegiate competition in which students represent countries while simulating bureaucratic decision making as performed in the United Nations.
There is a competitive selection process for determining team membership, in addition to regularly scheduled meetings for preparation and practice. Students who are interested in participating should contact the dean, Dr. Karen Owen.
