Richards College of Business Joint Board of Advisors
I began my career with Edward Jones in 1988 after working with the Social Security Administration from 1982-1988 as a claims representative. Over the years, I have obtained several degrees, including a BBA and MBA from the University of West Georgia.
I am consistently involved in the community, holding seats on several boards including Tanner Health Systems. Other positions include serving as past president of the Carrollton Lions Club; past trustee of the University of West Georgia; past chairman of the board of directors for West Central Technical College; I currently serve as Chairman of the Community Foundation of West Georgia. I am also a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity-Carrollton/Douglasville Alumni Association where I serve as the Vice-Polemarch (President) and Chairman Emeritus of the Community Diamonds Foundation.
Over the years, I have received numerous community and professional awards as a result of my service to the community. I was the 2019 A.F. Mckenzie Award winner at Edward Jones and won the 2019 Centennial Service Award from the Optimist Club of Carrollton. I was selected as Melvin Jones Fellow for the Lions Club International in 2014 and received the Distinguished Leadership Award from the Omicron Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority in 2018. I have been an active member of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton for over 40 years, serving as a Deacon and Board member.
I currently reside in Carrollton, GA with my wife of 34 years, Lillian Rozena Wilson, our son, Wilson, and our daughter, Maya.
